Ik beschrijf mezelf als: I'm Thorsten, a 37 year old gothic, german male, a free spirit and Gemini who has lived in Brighton for the last few years.

I've moved here after travelling the world very extensively for a few years and am now looking for interesting people to meet up with for friendship, socialising, meeting new people and ideally leading to a long term relationship if we get on well...

I'm friendly, honest, genuine, sincere and down to earth, can hold a decent conversation and have a philosophical/spiritual side to me.I am always happy, bubbly and with a smile on my face, a open-minded, laid back chap that likes to make a girl happy and enjoys great company, food, chats and lots of happiness and laughter.I would say that I am a little of a contradiction really as I like to do things at the spur of the moment but then also like to be organised, enjoy roughing it but then also love the finer things in life or enjoying life's little luxuries but I guess maybe that has something to do with me being a gemini perhaps hehehe.

I have short, black spiky hair, very dark eyes, which I reckon together with my smile are one of my best features. I'm 5'10" tall, slim, tanned and 2 Viking tattoos on my arms, maybe going to have another one soon. I also have 4 piercings, am slim, fit, healthy, comfortable with myself and I am keeping myself fit by swimming, fencing, martial arts, hiking, diving, walking and other outdoor pursuits. I am a adventurous and quirky guy that likes unusual things, loves a challenge and enjoys new adventures in life.

With a lot of humour, liberal application of tea and cake and good company any problem in life can be resolved :) well that's my theory anyway and it worked so far ;)

I’m Bubbly, quirky, fun to be with, have a GSOH, like animals, paganism, Viking mythology, nature, spiritual, medieval stuff, Gothic and alternative lifestyle, films, books, good food and lots, lots more.

I'm a trained chef, computerwizz, speak 3 languages fluent, fully trained ex army combat medic (comes in useful), have travelled all over the world and done lots of adventurous things like hiking in the Everest region, lived and dived in Thailand, north Africa, and various places in Europe as well as North Africa and regularly visit Paris, Venice and other lovely destinations like that.

I also enjoy growing my own fruit, herbs and veg and would like to get into the whole allotment gardening but currently am still on the waiting list. I like the self sufficiency lifestyle and have many skills i.e I can make my own jams & marmalades, candles, repair and make clothes, knit, repair cars, make furniture, blacksmith and lots more things which comes in very useful.

Additionally, I'm alternative, like dressing up and making an efford but generally wear just jeans and a shirt or whatever I'm feeling comfy in. I like period clothing, victorian in particular and also vintage uniforms.I am a big softy at heart really that likes a nice, happy life without hassle and stress, so if thats your kind of thing im your guy...

Currently, I am in the process of gaining my car license as I have always loved bikes and camper vans (would like to get one eventually and go on trips in that).I absolutely love travelling, adventure and consider myself a very experienced and well seasoned globetrotter. I have many stories to tell from my travels and look forward to many more epic journeys to take maybe with you??

I'm looking for someone with similar interests and personality like myself. You do have to be considerate and intelligent, i.e. able to hold a decent conversation! You must be comfortable in who you are and what you do, someone with a bit of depth to them but able to laugh at life and themselves occasionally.It would be great if we have things in common and have the spark and this is more important to me than looks.
